“Meat for a Year + Freezer Giveaway” – Official Contest Rules
1. Sponsor
The “Meat for a Year + Freezer Giveaway” (the “Contest”) is sponsored by Ottawa Valley Meats (“OVM”), located in Ontario, Canada.
2. Eligibility
The Contest is open to legal residents of Canada who:

Are 19 years of age or older at the time of entry; and
-
Reside within Ottawa Valley Meats’ active delivery area.
Eligibility will be verified using the postal code submitted at entry.
Employees, contractors, representatives, and immediate family members of Ottawa Valley Meats are not eligible to enter.
Limit of one (1) entry per person.
3. Contest Period
The Contest begins on March 1, 2026 at 12:00 AM EST and closes on March 26, 2026 at 11:59 PM EST (the “Contest Period”).
Entries submitted after this time will not be eligible.
4. How to Enter
No purchase is necessary to enter or win.
To enter, participants must complete the official contest entry form during the Contest Period and provide:

Entrants must agree to receive marketing communications from Ottawa Valley Meats in order to participate.
Optional opportunities to follow Ottawa Valley Meats on social media may be presented but are not required for entry and do not impact the odds of winning.
5. Marketing & Communications
By entering, participants consent to receive email and SMS marketing communications from Ottawa Valley Meats. Participants may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link or opt-out methods provided.
6. Prize
One (1) winner will receive:

Ottawa Valley Meats “Meat for a Year” package; and
-
One (1) freezer selected by Ottawa Valley Meats.
Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $2,500 CAD.
Prize Conditions:

Prize will be delivered in a single delivery.
-
No cash value or cash substitution.
-
Prize is non-transferable.
-
Substitutions may occur only in extreme circumstances at the sole discretion of Ottawa Valley Meats (for example, if the winner already owns a suitable freezer).

All delivery costs, shipping charges, and applicable taxes related to the prize are covered by Ottawa Valley Meats.

Delivery must occur within Ottawa Valley Meats’ active delivery area.
7. Freezer Terms

Freezer make, model, and size will be selected by Ottawa Valley Meats.

Freezer will be delivered only (no pickup option).
-
Installation is the responsibility of the winner (standard setup such as plugging into a suitable outlet).

Any applicable manufacturer warranty transfers to the winner after delivery.
8. Winner Selection
One winner will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
The draw will take place on March 27, 2026.
The selected entrant will be contacted using the contact information provided at entry.
9. Skill-Testing Question
To comply with Canadian law, the selected entrant must correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question before being confirmed as the official winner.
If the selected entrant cannot be contacted or does not meet eligibility requirements, another entrant may be selected.
10. Odds of Winning
Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
11. Delivery & Limitations

Winner must reside within Ottawa Valley Meats’ delivery area at the time of prize fulfillment.

Prize cannot be transferred to another person.
-
Pickup is not available.
-
The entire prize will be delivered at one time.
12. Publicity Release
By accepting the prize, the winner agrees that Ottawa Valley Meats may use their name, city, likeness, photos, and/or video for promotional purposes without additional compensation, where permitted by law.
13. Platform Disclaimer
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta (Facebook or Instagram) or any other social media platform.
14. General Conditions
Ottawa Valley Meats reserves the right to:

Cancel, modify, or suspend the Contest if required due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control;

Disqualify entrants who violate these rules or attempt to tamper with the entry process.
Ottawa Valley Meats is not responsible for:
-
Technical issues or website failures;
-
Lost, late, incomplete, or misdirected entries;
-
Force majeure events including supply chain disruptions or events outside reasonable control.
15. Privacy
Information collected during the Contest will be used to administer the Contest and for marketing communications in accordance with Ottawa Valley Meats’ privacy practices.
