Campfire Cooking

If you're planning a camping trip and want to enjoy a delicious steak dinner around the campfire, here's a simple recipe that's sure to satisfy your taste buds:

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb steak (ribsteak
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 large potatoes, sliced into wedges
  • 2 bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh rosemary

Directions:

  1. Start by preparing the fire or grill. Let the flames die down and the coals get hot.

  2. Season the steak generously with salt and pepper on both sides.

  3. Drizzle the steak with olive oil and place it on the grill. Cook for about 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or adjust the time to your desired level of doneness.

  4. While the steak is cooking, prepare the vegetables. In a large bowl, toss the potato wedges, bell peppers, onion, and garlic with olive oil, salt, and pepper.

  5. Place the vegetable mixture in a large piece of aluminum foil and add the butter and fresh rosemary on top. Fold the aluminum foil to create a packet.

  6. Place the vegetable packet on the grill and cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.

  7. Once the steak is cooked to your liking, remove it from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes.

  8. Slice the steak and serve it with the vegetable packet.

This steak and vegetable campfire meal is simple, delicious, and easy to make. The steak is juicy and flavorful, and the vegetables are tender and aromatic. Enjoy your meal under the stars with family and friends!
