Our Prime Tri-Tip Round Steaks are professionally butchered from the bottom sirloin into thick, compact portions weighing 6–8 oz each. With excellent marbling and rich beef flavour, these steaks offer something a little different from your everyday sirloin or striploin.
What Is a Tri-Tip Round?
Tri-tip is a triangular muscle from the bottom sirloin, especially popular in California, where it's a barbecue favourite. While traditionally cooked as a whole roast, we've taken this flavourful cut and portioned it into individual steaks that are perfect for grilling or pan-searing.
The rounds come from the thicker section of the tri-tip, giving them a compact, substantial shape that's ideal for developing a beautiful crust while keeping the centre juicy.
If you enjoy top sirloin or striploin, tri-tip is well worth trying. It delivers a satisfying steak texture, bold beef flavour, and the added richness of Prime-grade marbling.
Cooking Recommendations
Season generously with salt and pepper, then sear over medium-high to high heat on the grill or in a cast-iron pan. We recommend cooking to medium-rare or medium, allowing the steak to rest, and slicing against the grain for maximum tenderness.

All our orders are hand-packed before delivery. Human error can happen, and we want to make sure we fix it as soon as possible. Within 72 hours of delivery, please notify us of any issues you may have with your order. We’ll assess the issue and decide the best course of action.
Delivery process is as follows:
- We will send automated delivery notification updates on the day of delivery
- Driver will attempt delivery. Will knock/ring/call.
- For customers in the Ottawa area: your order will be left at your door if there's no response For customers outside of Ottawa: Your order will not be left unattended unless you add a delivery note giving permission.
The package will be kept at our warehouse for pickup at your convenience during business hours. We can offer a second delivery for a $25 fee.
